A fun four patch pattern for scrap quilting.     The pattern really takes 10 fat quarters thou....

 

 

I had posted this on my old blog back in 2007 when I started this for a show quilt.   Decided to finish this up before Easter     It is my " Easter in the Cabin ".   I will change some the quilting design as I drew that up back in 2007.    Thinking about doing a little applique on this also.

 

 

 

Grandson is in the air force and wanted a quilt for his bed.    Found this cool panel which I sure he will like.    Now just to get it quilted.       E2E with air force design.

Dragon Fly Quilt

 

 

 

Just a simple design for the dragon fly squares, this way I can add an interesting quilt design to compliment  the quilt.     Plan on scalloping the border.    Will use this for a Christmas quilt to go along with the dragon flies that hang on the tree.

Quilt Challenge

 

Sinnissippi Quilt Guild Challenge

 

 

 

I was given a sheet  with instruction ( of course )   6  x  48

colors are black, gold, and rust .    A fall theme due March 5th

 

My design came to me the other night in bed and I got up,  and sketched it out in my book 

(More of a art piece)

 

Here is the start...........    A little piping for inner border

This colour will go with my Dragon Fly Christmas  quilt,   which I still need to come up with a pattern

 

Will finish the swing cushion tomorrow,   need to buy the insert. 

 

This was a five minute pillow.

 

 

                        didn't cut off the salvage,  because everything  was   folded  to the inside.
                                                                      easy peasy!!

 

Only seams were down each side........

Christmas Quilt Dragon Flies

 

Found these dragon flies at the quilt expo in Wisconsin.     I fell in love with them the moment I saw them.    I knew I had fabric stashed away from three years ago  just for these little buggers.    This will be a Christmas quilt that will go along with my soft blue colours for the garden room.     I have dragon flies that I bought quite a few years ago when I started with the blues for a Christmas theme.    Now I just have to come up with a quilt pattern.......     EQ here I come! 

 

 

 

Notice the fabric matches the wings.

 

I can hardly wait to get started on this one.      Hopefully I can get it finished before the   Innova  gets here.
